The Ford Bronco Is Apparently Sold Out For At Least Two Years

We know that the new Bronco is one of the most sought-after vehicles Ford has produced since the days of the original 1964 Mustang. We also know that there are more than 125,000 reservations for the 2021 model year, and indeed some of those reservations will be moved to 2022.

However, more recent information now indicates that the number of reservations for the Bronco exceeds 190,000. In addition, the introduction of the new F-150, especially the compact pickup Ford Maverick, will put more pressure on Ford.

Apparently, even though the Bronco, F-150, and Maverick are three completely different vehicles, with varying prices and target buyers, the popularity of any one of them positively affects the others. According to Ford’s market specialists, when people log on to the Ford site to see the new Maverick, they sometimes end up ordering Bronco and vice versa. It looks like Ford is in a tough spot, with so many cool products to offer and yet experiencing so many production difficulties in getting them to market. 

Ford Has Already Released 2022 Order Dates

2021 Bronco production has just begun after all the problems Ford (and the industry in general) has encountered over the last year or so. Regardless, the company has already released the 2022 model year order dates. The 2022 Bronco initial order acceptance will be available starting September 9th, 2021.

About a month later, on October 14th, 2021, scheduling should begin, and  actual production should commence in early December (the current target date is December 13th), 2021. This means that customers who order the 2022 model can expect their vehicles in early January.

We als speculate that 2022 will mark the availability of new colors and trim options, but this information will be available in few months.

Ford Releases Cool Video About Bronco Production in MAP

Ford’s Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, MI, has a long history, dating back to 1957. This factory first produced station wagons and several Mercury models but was then re-tooled to make F-100 pickups in 1964.

From 1966 all the way to 1996, the MAP was the birthplace of all Broncos, and history is repeating itself in the best possible way with the production of the 2021 model here. Here is a cool video dedicated to Bronco production in this legendary plant.
